Top Ten Tuesday is a thing where we get given a topic, and we have to list our ‘top ten’ things for the topic. Pretty self-explanatory.
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This Week’s Topic: Top Ten Books I’d love to see as movies
1. Rebel Belle, by Rachel Hawkins
When they said ‘Legally Blonde meets Terminator’, they weren’t kidding. Honestly, the whole time I was reading this, I was thinking ‘how good would this be as a movie?’.
2. Pivot Point, by Kasie West
3. The Darkest Minds, by Alexandra Bracken
4. Masquerade, by Kylie Fornasier
Just for the costumes alone I would want this movie.
5. Half Bad, by Sally Green
6. Unearthly, by Cynthia Hand
7. Legend, by Marie Lu
8. Throne of Glass, by Sarah J. Maas
Umm…because…Throne of Glass…duh.
9. Under the Never Sky, by Veronica Rossi
10. The Raven Boys, by Maggie Stiefvater
Ok, I was a little hesitant adding this to the list, because it is just so amazing, but I think that if it was done well, it could be just as amazing as a movie.
Oh, I would love to see Pivot Point as a movie too! I cried reading the book, and I’m sure I’ll cry watching the movie. The Darkest Minds would be awesome as well. And Legend–especially Champion. Also Throne of Glass, although I think it would be more awesome as an a la Game of Thrones TV series. Awesome list this week, Cassie!

I was SO stressed reading Pivot Point…I just wanted everything to work out, but then bad things happened and it was just so stressful!
But the whole ‘two stories at once’ thing would make a great movie.
And, yeah, so much happens in the Throne of Glass series that it probably would work better as a TV show…I just want to be able to watch it!!
omg MASQUERADE WOULD BE SO AWESOME!!! I think it would be cool as a play too! Just imagine… it would be like playception!
And yeah I’m also hesitant about The Raven Cycle ever being a movie or TV show, maybe if it was directed by Peter Jackson I’d be okay. XD
AND YES ALL THE WAY TO ALL OF THRONE OF GLASS!!! I NOW KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN BECAUSE I HAVE READ IT TOOOOOOO!!!! 😀 😀 😀
Thanks for sharing Cassie!!!
I was hesitant about saying Raven Boys, but if it was done well, it could be spectacular.
Just imagine how creepy it could be…what with the ghosts and all in the first chapter.
And YAY You’ve read Throne of Glass!!
Now go read all the books you haven’t read on the list!!
PIVOT POINT OH MY GOSH YES. It’d be so interesting 😀 And The Raven Boys hellllll yes.
I know right!!!
MASQUERADE YES. HOW AWESOME OF A SHOW/MOVIE!? Haha agreed. The costume/masks would be AMAZING.
They would be SO pretty!
If movie-makers do well with the book-to-movie transition, it’s generally with science fiction and fantasy (in my eyes). So I’m most hopeful with those possibilities.
Here’s my list of books I’d like made into movies.
Throne of Glass as a movie/tv show would be awesome! ❤
Oh, it would, wouldn’t it? So great.
I had both Throne of Glass and The Raven Boys on my list this week.
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/02/top-ten-tuesday-7/
They would be amazing, wouldn’t they 🙂
Yes they would!
Rebel Belle would be such an awesome movie. Great pick! My list.
It was literally my main thought while reading it…it would be SO GOOD as a movie!
The Raven Boys made my list as well. It would be a challenge to get the atmosphere right, but I think it would be great if done well!
It would be SO HARD for them to get it right, but if they did…it could be amazing.
Hiya!
I found your blog on the linky-thingy on The Broke and the Bookish and here I am! Great post, although I haven’t read any of those books (I’ve heard very good things about a few of them, though). Which would you recommend I read first if I were to read them?
Here’s my TTT post in case you want to take a look: https://hufflepuffthoughts.wordpress.com/2015/06/02/top-ten-tuesday-movie-books/
Elly xx
Well…to start with, I would probably recommend ALL of them…
But Raven Boys and Half Bad were definitely amazing. I would say put them on top of your TBR.
Along with Throne of Glass.
And all the others! Seriously, I love these books.
Sounds great! Not that I need any more books on my TBR 😝
I totally forgot about Pivot Point. That would make such a good movie!
Joana @ The Boundless Book List
It totally would, right?
Just all of these! I think you’ve got one of the best lists, and it was hard for me to choose what went on MY LIST, which almost included Half Bad except I think somewhere I read that it was already optioned for film.
Happy Reading! ~Beth@Perpetual New Girl
Aww, thank you *blushes*
Choosing for these lists is so hard sometimes…narrowing it down to just ten is sometimes impossible. (sometimes I cheat and add more…shh)
Half Bad is already optioned???
That is SO awesome! I would love it as a movie!
Masquerade!!! YES, yes and yes. I would be in heaven, but that ending would kill me seeing it on screen.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of ToG but I think it would look and be amazing on screen.
I haven’t read Under the Never Sky since wow at least 2 years ago, but thinking back to it. It would look amazing (that reminds me I need to buy and finish this series but arrg no money).
Thanks for an awesome post
Oh gosh, Masquerade would be amazing. And THAT ENDING! It’s so different to most books/movies these days.
It’s been a while since I read the Under the Never Sky trilogy, but the CGI for the Aether could be SO good!
Really, I would want half of these as movies just for the visual effects.
