The lovely Sophie from Fangirling101Books has nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award! (Thank you!)

The Rules

Anyone who has seen me do a tag knows that I rarely follow the rules, but let’s take a look at them anyway:

1.Thank the person who nominated you in the blog post. (check)
2. Answer the 11 questions set by the person who nominated you. (see below)
3. Nominate 11 blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions to answer (Urgh…effort)

The Questions

1. First chapter book you can remember reading or being read?

Geez, way to start with a tough one…maybe The Jewel Kingdom books? I dunno.

2. What was the show you watched as a kid like dora, wiggles, barney ect?

Hmm…We (my brother and I) watched a lot of Pokémon.

And The Teletubbies. Loved those things.

3. What Mythological creature would you be?

A dragon. Obviously.

WorstNightmare

4. Favorite super hero and favorite villain?

Oooh, this is a tough one.

I feel it’s necessary to point out that my entire experience with super heroes comes in the form of Marvel Movies.

Although I have seen Batman vs Superman. And that old Batman movie with Adam West.

I don’t really have a favourite, though.

5. If you could teleport to any country (even the imaginary ones) where would you go?

England. That’s where the Harry Potter studios are.

6. Just out of pure randomness. When you go to the loo do you fold or scrunch?

Excellent question.

7. Marvel or DC? (YEAH I JUST WENT THERE)

As I said in Q4, my entire experience of super heroes involves Marvel movies…and some Batman.

tumblr_lmcezng1vs1qd9quco1_500

So, yeah, I would say that I don’t really have enough information to make a proper judgment.

8. Favorite Taylor swift song, Favorite Ed sheran song and favorite Adelle song?

I’m sorry, do you honestly expect me to choose a favourite Taylor Swift song?

And I don’t listen to Ed Sheran or Adele.

9. What is your least favourite number? And do you like even or odd?

Least favourite number…hmm…I don’t think I have one.

I’m a maths nerd, I love ALL numbers.

27

10. Do you Associate any songs with books or books with songs and what is the song?

Always. Too many to list. And I often associate songs with what I’m writing.

11. What weapon would you take in the hunger games and who would be your allies? (Either games)

*Growls at the difficult question*

6. Do you like sports?

7. You are going away for a weekend. Do you pack:
A) Only a couple of clothes, it’s only for a weekend after all

The Teenage Girl Tag

I’ve been tagged to do the Teenage Girl Tag by Audrey from The Measure of a Book, (Thank you).

Rules:

– Thank the blogger who tagged you (and if you’d like, like their post, comment or for full support follow them!)
– Post the featured picture on the tag post
– Copy and paste the rules
– Answer the following 10 questions
– Use 2 gifs 😉 (or more)
– Tag up to 6 other bloggers
– Let the blogger know you tagged them

And now the questions:

1. Are you a girly girl or a tomboy? What makes you a girly girl or a tomboy?

tumblr_m9uezjwn9G1ru4t8ao1_400

2. Do you like texting or talking better?

Depends on the situation…sometimes I’m too lazy to text, so I press the green button.

3. What is your favourite Starbucks drink?

I don’t visit Starbucks…and when I do, the only thing I get is a hot chocolate.

4. Do you like your hair long or short, straight or curly? You can provide a picture of your hair too! (Front or back)

My hair is very long, and wavy. And that’s how I like it. I don’t own a straightener, curler, or anything else…except a hair dryer, but I never use it.

If there is no picture here, you can assume that I’ve forgotten to add it.

5. Pink or Purple?

Both

6. Who is your favourite female singer/s and what are your favourite songs by these singer/s?

Singers: Beth Crowley, Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson

Bands with female lead singers: Evanescence, Paramore, Superchick

I can’t choose favourite songs for any of them…let’s just say all of them.

7. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Umm…5 minutes? If that?

8. How often do you do your nails?

I keep them painted a fair amount, also very short.

9. Do you wear make up every day?

Nope. I never wear make up. It feels gross.

10. Are you a burgers and fries kind of girl or salad and fruit?

Burgers and chips, obviously.

salad

And now…the tagging…

SSBobRake

Ok, so anyone who knows me knows I’m not a fan of tagging…it’s just so much effort.

I’m lazy.

So…I’m tagging you. Yes, you. You, who are reading this.

award2

So, I have once again been nominated for The Liebster Award. Go me!

This time I have been nominated by the lovely Janna from Writing Visually

So, once again, the rules:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  2. Answer 11 questions from the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate other bloggers.
  4. Give those bloggers 11 questions to answer and let them know they’ve been nominated

And now for the questions:

1. If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Syd2

I’m tempted to answer with Harry Potter. However, I already have those books practically memorised.

So, since you are forcing me to choose, I’m going to say The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, by Michelle Hodkin.

2. If your life was a book what would it be called?

The Magical Adventures of Cassie the Weird.

Since it couldn’t be a book, I made it a blog.

3. Who was your first fictional crush?

Harry Potter, I believe.

4. Traditional publishing vs self publishing – which would you choose if you had the choice? And why?

Ok, back to the hard questions.

Probably traditional publishing. Because with self-publishing you have to do all the work yourself and that sounds hard and I’m lazy.

5. Ebooks vs real books? Which wins?

Real Books. Always.

Always

6. Do you read picture books or graphic novels? Why/why not?

Not really, but that’s mainly because other books take up so much of my time.

I’ve got nothing against them, though. I just prefer novels.

7. What are your thoughts on NA (new adult) fiction?

Well, I haven’t really read any NA. However I do see it’s relevance, and I think it’s a good genre to have.
Really, I think of it as YA, but for a different age group. People look down on it, but it has so much potential. Because the generation of kids that made YA so popular are starting to finish high school, so they aren’t relating to those character’s as much, and so we need more books about people leaving school and going off to college, or starting work, etc.

8. What is a book you’ve read purely because of the cover?

Ok, this is hard, because I know there is one.

Oh, wait, I didn’t read Throne of Glass for the longest time because of this cover:

Throne of Glass US

But then people started getting excited for Heir of Fire, and then I saw this cover:

Throne of Glass

And I was like “WHOA! I have to read that!”

9. What must a book have in it for you to fall in love with it?

Words. Words are good.

FireBadTreePretty

But aside from that…it usually needs some sort of paranormal/supernatural/dystopian happenings. I’m not a big fan of contemporaries (unless they rip your heart out and leave you to die…then I seem to like them).

And romance. I love romance.

But otherwise I’m not overly picky. I don’t mind clichés or predictability or similarities to other books. As long as it’s done well, I like it.

10. Are there any movies/TV series out there that you think are better than the books from which they originated?

I haven’t seen any that I would consider better as such.

I thought City of Bones came close, though. Because, while I love that series, I do have some serious issues with it that weren’t as present in the movie.

11. Where is your favourite place to read/write?

My bed is the answer to both.

So, that’s it. I’m not going to bother with the tagging and the questions and things. If you want to consider yourself tagged and answer the above questions, you can go ahead. But otherwise,
