ShelfieHop

So, Bookiemoji and MyFriendsAreFiction had this fantastic idea that everyone should post pictures of their bookshelves on the same day.

So here are mine:

At the top we have Classics/miscellaneous, while the shelf below is classified as ‘ultimate favourites’.

The ultimate favourites section is made up entirely of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books, with the first three Mortal Instruments (hidden behind Dracula), and Dracula.

Just below those shelves we have my Christian non-fiction shelf, mainly consisting of various Bibles, devotion books, and other Biblical-explanation books.

Below that we have my ‘slightly bigger than average and hardcovers’ shelf; consisting of the rest of my Cassandra Clare books, Red Queen, Disruption, the Elementals series, Rebel Belle, Sinner, Let the Sky Fall, Pivot Point, The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender and Illusions of Fate.

In front of the Cassandra Clare books is Sarah J Maas, Rachael Craw, The Raven Boys and the Every Series (I’m missing the first one).
The gap is for Queen of Shadows, which is currently on the floor).

Under those is the ‘average size books and Vampire Academy’ shelf.

This shelf has Poison Princess, Risk, We All Looked Up, Panic, Paranormalcy, Mind Games, Hex Hall, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, Vampire Academy, Bloodlines, Vanishing Girls, The Goddess Test, Pawn, Spellbound, The Dark World and Magnus Chase (ARC).

Underneath that shelf is my current TBR pile(s). I won’t name those…we’ll be here forever.

And here we have my ‘accidental dystopian’ shelves. They did not start out like that intentionally, until one day I realised that the only books on there was Hunger Games, Divergent and Delirium.

(This was obviously a while ago)

Then the shelf was too small, and so they became (more-or-less) the dystopian shelves.

Other books we can’t see in the pictures: The Darkest Minds, The Interrogation of Ashala Wold, All Our Yesterdays, Legend.

On the bottom is the ‘they didn’t fit anywhere else’ shelf. Behind I Am Number Four is the Trylle trilogy, Dangerous Girls, Unraveling and Twilight.

And here we have the library books shelf.

There are probably too many books to bother listing here…but please note that there is another pile behind the visible one.

And here we have the Julie Kagawa Shelf.

Again, it didn’t start that way…it just sort of happened.

Problem: there are more books coming but there is no room.

Below that is the Christian Fiction shelf. All 16 Diary of a Teenage Girl books and Starlighter.

Below that is a bunch of Ted Dekker books, behind the Beautiful Creatures series, Evernight, Tomorrow When the War Began and various review books.

And here is my Aussie Author display shelf, featuring In The Skin of a Monster, Masquerade, Space Demons and Are You Seeing Me?

Also home to one of my favourite clocks: the one shaped like a ‘retro phone’.

And last, but most certainly not least, my other ‘slightly bigger than average’ shelf, along with my ‘books about books made into movies’ shelf and my ‘other books’.

Featured on the top shelf: Obsidian, Unearthly, The Last Time We Say Goodbye, Falling into Place, The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly (ARC), Magonia, The Forsaken, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Mila 2.0, Half Bad and Because You’ll Never Meet Me.

On the bottom shelf: Eragon, Skulduggery Pleasant, Inkheart, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel and the Gone series.
