Top Ten Tuesday is a thing where we get given a topic, and we have to list our ‘top ten’ things for the topic. Pretty self-explanatory.
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This Week’s Topic: Top Ten Books on my Spring Autumn TBR List!
Note: I’m probably going to look at this post in June and realise I have read none of the books on it…because that’s how I roll.
1. The Young Elites, by Marie Lu
2. The Revenge of Seven, by Pittacus Lore
3. The Last Time We Say Goodbye, by Cynthia Hand
4. Red Queen, by Victoria Aveyard
5. The 5th Wave, by Rick Yancey
6. A Thousand Pieces of You, by Claudia Gray
7. Ignite Me, by Tahereh Mafi
8. Shadow and Bone, by Leigh Bardugo
9. Rebel Belle, by Rachel Hawkins
10. Captive, by Aimee Carter
I’m definitely looking forward to reading A Thousand Pieces of You, it sounds like it would be a really amazing SF story. Plus The 5th Wave has been on my TBR list for a looooong time.
Funny you say about Revenge of Seven – I stopped reading that series ages ago. It totally lost me a few books in, I just couldn’t bear the writing style anymore. And I’m also hearing so much about Marie Lu’s series lately…
This TTT is depressing me. So many awesome books that I need to read…thanks for posting! ^_^
The thing I’m not loving about the Lorien Legacies series is the way the POVs are handled. It’s literally just a change of font, and sometimes the fonts are really similar and it can be pretty confusing.
Other than that, I’m enjoying it.
And I borrowed The 5th Wave out from the library last May, or something. My mum started reading it and finished it, like, a day later. So I bought it, and returned the library copy…and I still haven’t read it. I even own the sequel.
And I am SO looking forward to The Young Elites. I absolutely adored Legend.
Same issue I had with Lorien Legacies – except it’s worse on Kindle, because it’s literally impossible to use different fonts. So halfway through a chapter, it just abruptly jumps character and made it almost impossible to follow. -_-
But everyone’s certainly loving Legend, so I might have to give that a go after I’m finished with the Mortal Instruments.
Oooh, great list! I didn’t include The Young Elites (had already finished the blog post before I had bought it) but I definitely plan on reading it sometime in the coming months. It looks so good. I’m also dying to read Red Queen, too, though I’ve heard a loooooot of mixed things about that so I know I’ll probably just be borrowing that one from the library. Enjoy!
I wrote the majority of this list a month ago…but when I looked at it yesterday, I realised that I’d already read several of the books, and had to change them.
I’m so excited for Young Elites.
The main things I’ve heard about Red Queen can be summed up like this: It’s good, but unoriginal.
I’m aeriously hoping I’ll like it, but if not, at least it has a pretty cover 🙂
I’ve heard mixed reviews about Red Queen as well, and I’m currently REALLY wanting to just keep reading the Throne of Glass series!
And I still need to read A Thousand Pieces of You as well.
And I need to read Four by Veronica Roth and The Book Thief and then The Lunar Chronicles and then The Kane Chronicles and the Blood of Olympus and then Disruption (again) so I can read Corruption! (finally, after getting it for Christmas) XD
Thanks for sharing Cassie!
Don’t forget Half Bad. You need to read that too 😛
But, seriously, just keep reading the Throne of Glass series. No one can blame you for that (it just gets more and more awesome).
