Top Ten Tuesday is a thing where we get given a topic, and we have to list our ‘top ten’ things for the topic. Pretty self-explanatory.
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This Week’s Topic: Top Ten Books on my Summer TBR
Now, this is going to be a difficult one…because Summer lasts from December to February…SO. MANY. BOOKS.
We’ll see if I can narrow it down, shall we?
1. The Retribution of Mara Dyer, by Michelle Hodkin
It isn’t out in Australia yet, otherwise I would have read it by now.
2. The Revenge of Seven, by Pittacus Lore
I bought this in August. AUGUST PEOPLE!!!
3. Captive, by Aimee Carter
After reading Pawn, I have been desperate to read this.
I read Pawn, like, a year ago.
4. Spark, by Rachel Craw
I WON THIS IN A GIVEAWAY I’M SO HAPPY!!!
Now it just needs to get here…*waiting*
5. Anna Dressed in Blood, by Kendare Blake
So, technically I’ve already started reading this…but I’m not heaps far into it yet.
6. The Maze Runner, by James Dashner
YES! I STILL haven’t read it yet. This book is driving me nuts.
7. Falling into Place, by Amy Zhang
Another giveaway win…I don’t know why I want to read this one…it’s going to destroy me.
8. We Were Liars, by E. Lockhart
It has been on reserve at the library for quite some time now…
I WANT THIS BOOK!!!
9. Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, by Ransom Riggs
So…borrowed this from a friend in June.
I should probably read it so I can give it back.
10. The Ruby Circle, by Richelle Mead
The only reason this is on the bottom of the list is because it doesn’t come out until February. *beckons February to come faster*
SUCCESS! Narrowed down to 10.
So…what are you planning on reading this summer (or winter, depending on where you live)?
YES FALLING INTO PLACE OH MY GOODNESS IT’S AMAZING. I didn’t like Anna Dressed in Blood, unfortunately – not scary at all. And ditto with We Were Liars – didn’t like it either. But I hope you love all of these!!
The Maze Runner is REALLY good (although a bit creepy at the end). I hope you love them all!
That’s why I did an end of the year list, winter/summer was too hard.
Congrats on winning Spark! 🙂 I have to read Mara Dyer, Unusual Children and Anna Dressed in Blood too! Maze Runner is great, yes you have to read it. (I personally didn’t like the sequels but most people did.)
