This Week’s Topic: Top Ten Books people have been telling me I MUST read
1. The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green
Or any John Green really. People are insisting that I read any of his books…I’m sort of tempted, too.
2. Evernight, by Claudia Grey
To the point where this friend bought it for me…I was planning on reading it anyway…
And that’s it for the books that people are yelling at me to read…I read considerably more than most of my friends, so I’m the one usually doing the yelling.
And because I like having 10 things on a Top Ten Tuesday list, I’m going to complete this list with Books that I see Everywhere* on the Internet, and as such it feels like the internet is telling me to read them:
3. Dorothy Must Die, by Danielle Paige
4. We Were Liars, by E. Lockhart
5. The Maze Runner, by James Dashner
6. The Giver, by Lois Lowry
7. The Half Life of Molly Pierce, by Katrina Leno
8. Dangerous Boys, by Abigail Haas
9. Not a Drop to Drink, Mindy McGinnis
10. Splintered, by A.G. Howard
*Note: By ‘everywhere’, chances are I’ve only seen it once, which is usually enough to make me want to read it.
THE FAULT IN OUR STARS YES YES YES YES YES. It is just…words can’t describe it. Dorothy Must Die was also really good. And Splintered is amazing. I’ve seen Not a Drop to Drink around the blogosphere quite a lot too π
I really need to read The Giver. I’ve seen it about so much and I’m feeling a bit guilty about not reading it! I’m terrible, I only need to like the look of a book for it to be added to my TBR list!
Yeah, I’m like that too. If it exists, I want to read it.
And, yeah, I feel like I need to read The Giver, especially with the movie coming out.
JOHN GREEN IS AMAZING AND AFJDKSALFD I LOVE ALL HIS BOOKS. Well, I’ve yet to read a few of them, but I’ve read 4 so that counts for a lot! lol I will whisper quietly for you to read The Maze Runner because I absolutely love that book and the movie is coming soon. That’s plenty good reasons to read it, right?! RIGHT. *nods* The Giver is tiny! It’s only like 200 or so pages, so it’s an awesomely fast read. π
Here’s my TTT!
Yeah, I’ve wanted to read The Maze Runner for a while now, and with the movie coming out, the need to read it is more urgent. And I’ve only really heard good things about it, so when I manage to get my hands on it, I’ll give it a go.
The Giver is short? Excellent. I could probably read it on the train to uni.
And I’ve heard a lot of good things about John Green, but for some reason I just really don’t want to read his books…I dunno.
Oh my god, The Fault in Our Stars was awesome. The GIver is phenomenal, too, and it’s a quick read. Great list. Here’s mine.
I see Dangerous Girls everywhere, well I suppose I see Dangerous Boys by association. So much so that I feel like I need to read it really soon.
Yeah, it’s really weird, because I read Dangerous Girls back in, like, October/November 2013, and no one was going on about it, but suddenly everybody is.
And, yes, you should read it. It thoroughly creeped me out, but still.
I was thinking maybe it’s because the sequel/companion came out? I don’t know. There was another book that this happened to not long ago that I can’t remember at the moment. But who knows why these things happen π
Also, haha, that’s a good rec in my book.
