Hosted by Breaking the Spine
Author: Rick Riordan
Release Date: 7 October, 2014
Synopsis (from Goodreads): Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them, and they’re stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake.
The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it might be able to stop a war between the two camps. The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless.
How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea’s army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over
Why this book?
The final in the Heroes of Olympus series…why not this book?
SO EXCITED!!
I still haven’t even read Percy Jackson yet- I NEED TO GET THEM. I keep meaning too but then see others and pick them up instead. 😦 Happy Wednesday!
Here’s mine

You haven’t read Percy Jackson!?!?
You are missing out.
I am so stoked for this book! I’ll be honest – I haven’t finished the series (before this book) yet, but I’m going to get back to it soon! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Here’s my WoW!
Can’t wait for this one! It’s bittersweet, its the final book, it’ll all be over.
Nemo @ Blame it on the Book
Yes, but then he’ll be doing the Norse series, and there’s the PJO/Kane crossover thingy to be excited about.
I know, I’m so excited (but also a little sad) cause its the last one! I’m already trying (and failing) to picture the final epic battles! Happy reading!
My WoW.
Yeah, I’ve got no idea what’s going to happen…but really, as long as Percy and Annabeth survive, I’ll be happy.
I so need to start this series. I have a box set of the first three, but keep bypassing them. I haven’t even seen the movies yet, I’m so slack. How many are there in the series? Definitely going to to squeeze at least the first book in before the end of the month. Thanks for sharing Cassie ❤
Don’t bother with the movies…they were so beyond useless. I mean, the second one was a little better than the first one, but still…
In the Percy Jackson series there are 5 books: The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian.
Then there’s the Heroes of Olympus series, which is also 5 books: The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, The Mark of Athena, The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus.
You totally have to read them, they are so good!!
*whistles innocently and hides* I HAVE ONLY READ 1 RICK RIORDAN BOOK. I will just be sitting ashamedly in the corner if you need me.
Yes, you sit in that corner with all Rick Riordan’s other books and you don’t leave that corner until you’re done.
🙂
