This Week’s Topic: Top Ten Books I’m not sure I want to read
1. The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green
Or anything John Green really…I’m tempted (as I am by any book that a lot of people are reading), but at the same time, I’m not really into realistic fiction…and I’m kinda proud of the fact that I haven’t read John Green.
2. Sweet Evil, by Wendy Higgins
I started listening to the audiobook, but the narrator had an annoying voice, so I never finished it. My sister has read the series, though, and she loved it.
3. Game board of the Gods, by Richelle Mead
I read the first few pages while in the bookshop, and I didn’t love it straight away. So I might read it some time when I don’t have a bajillion other books to read.
4. The Morganville Vampires, by Rachel Caine
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this series, but there’s 15 books…that’s a lot.
5. Dangerous Boys, by Abigail Haas
I read Dangerous Girls, and while I did enjoy it, there is no denying the fact that it freaked me out.
It’s weird, because I always want to read the creepy books, and then I regret reading them when I finish them, because they freak me out too much.
6. Under the Dome, by Stephen King
I’ve seen a couple of episodes of the tv show, and I’ve enjoyed it…but again, do I want to read it and face the lack of sleep that it almost sure to follow?
And, that’s it for the books I’m not sure about…however, because I still want to make it to ten, here are my Top Ten Books I wasn’t sure I wanted to read, but am glad I did:
7. If I Stay, by Gayle Forman
I only read it because I saw a trailer for the movie, and it looked interesting. I don’t usually read contemporary, but I’m glad I read this one.
8. Hex Hall, by Rachel Hawkins
This was a few years ago, but I saw all 3 books in the shop at once one time, and I thought about it, and I thought about it some more…and I didn’t buy them.
By the time I changed my mind and went back for them, they were gone.
I was kicking myself for months.
Anyway, eventually they showed up again, so I bought them one at a time. And I loved them.
9. City of Bones, by Cassandra Clare
I’ll be honest, the cover was what put me off this book. But eventually I discovered what it was about, read the first chapter online, and then bought the book. I quite enjoyed the rest of the books in the series.
10. Legend, by Marie Lu
Another book who’s cover put me off, and another one that I decided to read once I discovered what it was about.
This was a great series.
The Magical Adventures of Cassie the Weird 
Except for 5, 6, 7 and 8 on your list, I’m confused about the rest of the books too, though only City of Bones made my list. I read and enjoyed Hex Hall, but the second book was not that great and I’m not sure about the last book in the series. Here’s my TTT
I loved all three Hex Halls, I thought they were great.
I was wary of City of Bones at first, but I really enjoyed the series. There were some major issues I had with it, but those were hardly noticeable the first time I read it.
I got City of Bones for the same reason. I sat on it for about a year before actually reading it though. I liked it and the next couple a lot.

I enjoyed City of Bones, and the next two, but the rest of the series seemed like a stretch. Also, I liked Infernal Devices better, even though I still have issues with that series as well.
Basically, I liked the series first time around, but when I try reading them again, I can’t help but notice all the things I don’t like about them.
Im proud I haven’t read John Green Either!
Wendy Higgins Sweet Evil Series is so worth the read!

That’s what my sister tells me about Sweet Evil…it’s why I’m still tempted to read it.
I’ll probably give it a go…one day…when I have less other books to read.
I didn’t even know Dangerous Boys existed. I’m starting Dangerous Girls soon and if I like it (because I like creepy stuff too) I’m def gonna pick it up. Thanks for that,haha. Good luck!! 🙂

I haven’t read any John Greene books either. I feel like I’m going to be that one person that hates his books while everyone else continues to fawn over his work. I kinda want to read Gameboard of the Gods at some point as well, I just hope it stands up to all the hype.

I don’t think I’ll dislike John Green, but I just don’t feel like reading an author that has so much hype…
Which is weird, because I usually love reading hyped books.
With Gameboard of the Gods…I just love the Vampire Academy books so much I’m worried about reading anything else by that author.
I agree the CoB covers aren’t the best. I’m totally not into the headless-shirtless-dudes. It’s awkward. You and me both for If I Stay! But noooow I’m tempted because you liked it and I like good recs. 😉 Plus I can’t not read a book when there’s a movie coming out! I need to be on top of these things, unlike for The Book Thief where I *gasp* watched the movie first. Little bookworm rebel I am. 😉
I love TFIOS. It was amazing and I read it before the intense hype, so I didn’t even know what it’d be like.
I was very tempted to see The Book Thief movie, but because I am yet to read the book, I didn’t go see it.
I have the book now (from the library), but it may be a while before I get around to reading it (*curses uni*)
Apart from books 3,4 and 5, I’ve read all these and with some, readers aren’t missing out on much. a 15 books series, that’s gotta be pretty repetitive or incredibly dull and full of filler. I personally couldn’t tackle that. John Green is a tricky one, he’s so well loved and a brilliant writer, but he’s so over hyped. If you did want to start with one of his titles, I’d go with Paper Towns, compared to the rest, that was by far my favourite.
